Debunked! 5 Tech Myths

Myths around Technology and Senior Citizens

When it comes to senior technology, there are some rather baffling myths that often serve as the underlying nuances for some folks who are slow to embrace the technological offerings of the present day. The fact of the matter is however, that most of these senior technology myths can be rather easily debunked and cast aside. It’s a powerfully rich technological world we currently live in. While nobody is forcing anyone to embrace technology, for those who set aside these misconstrued and preconceived notions about the downsides of technology, shall soon find themselves gracefully enamored by the invigorating offerings of the digital age.

Senior Technology Myth No. 1: Technology is Frightening

The crazy ebb and flow of technology can be a scary thought. However, it’s not something that you have not already embraced in the past. For example, when power steering was invented, did you stop and think twice about being able to steer your car more proficiently? What about the microwave, it became an easier way to cook foods faster. The same notion can applies to the color TV, the digital camera, and any other innovations in technology that has come along. When you really think about it, most of us have wholeheartedly embraced technology because it’s not scary but serves to make our lives more convenient.

Senior Technology Myth No. 2: The Internet is a Harbinger of Scams & Viruses

There are certain dangers that can be creep up upon the unsuspecting Internet user. These same dangers are omnipresent in everyday living, too. A careful and strategic approach to using the Internet is all that is required to safeguard yourself. With a powerful antivirus program installed on your computer you can easily and safely search the web without fear of viruses or malware. Most online scams these days involve emailing you. Remember to simply not answer to contacts you are not familiar with and you will prevent most types of online dangers in this regard.

Senior Technology Myth No. 3: Computers Are Too Difficult to Use

Once upon a time this notion was entirely true. Newer computers are very user friendly, visual, and therefore are easy to use. For example, Apple computers are known for being very easy to operate and manage. Newer Windows computers are so simple that you just point and click and everything virtually does what it says it will do on the label. Computers have never been so easy to use and much like driving a car, making a phone call, or doing your taxes—using a computer just as easy.

Senior Technology Myth No. 4: I Don’t Need a Cellular Phone

It’s generally cheaper to have a cellular phone these days than a costly landline. That’s because you can enjoy unlimited minutes including long distance for a low monthly fee that’s about the same as your landline, but without the costly long distance fees. Plus, you can take your cell phone anywhere providing you with a direct contact to emergency services, family, and friends in the event that disaster strikes, you become injured or ill. There are a variety of cell phones these days that are as simple to use as your landline.

Senior Technology Myth No. 5: I Don’t Need Social Networking

You certainly don’t need it but you really want it. With social networking you can stay in contact with all of your family and friends. You can create online photo galleries, share, and comment on them. You can post updates and interact with the people you love and cherish the most. Social networks are easy and fun to use for all people. So don’t let silly senior technology myths dissuade you from making the most of your life with the fabulous technology of the present day.

  8. Hey, how’s it going?

I want to pass along some very important news that everyone needs to hear!

In December of 2017, Donald Trump made history by recognizing Jerusalem as the captial of Israel. Why is this big news? Because by this the Jewish people of Israel are now able to press forward in bringing about the Third Temple prophesied in the Bible.

The Jewish people deny Jesus as their Messiah and have stated that their Messiah has been identified and is waiting to be revealed. They say this man will rule the world under a one world religion called “spiritualism”.

They even printed a coin to raise money for the Temple with Donald Trumps face on the front and with king Cyrus'(who built the second Temple) behind him. On the back of the coin is an image of the third Temple.

The Bible says this false Messiah who seats himself in the Third Temple will be thee antichrist that will bring about the Great Tribulation, though the Jewish people believe he will bring about world peace. It will be a false peace for a period of time. You can watch interviews of Jewish Rabbi’s in Israel speaking of these things. They have their plans set in place. It is only years away!

More importantly, the power that runs the world wants to put a RFID microchip in our body making us total slaves to them. This chip matches perfectly with the Mark of the Beast in the Bible, more specifically Revelation 13:16-18:

He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

Referring to the last days, this could only be speaking of a cashless society, which we have yet to see, but are heading towards. Otherwise, we could still buy or sell without the mark amongst others if physical money was still currency. RFID microchip implant technology will be the future of a one world cashless society containing digital currency. It will be implanted in the right-hand or the forehead, and we cannot buy or sell without it! We must grow strong in Jesus. AT ALL COSTS, DO NOT TAKE IT!

Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” (Revelation 14:9-11).

People have been saying the end is coming for many years, but we need two key things. One, the Third Temple, and two, the technology for a cashless society to fulfill the prophecy of the Mark of the Beast.
